Young South Australian of the Year | Sponsored by BHP Billiton
The BHP Billiton Young South Australian of the Year Award aims to recognise
and acknowledge young South Australians who have demonstrated outstanding leadership inspiring and supporting young people as well as facilitating outstanding youth projects or activities.  This category is for young South Australians aged 29 years or younger.



Arts Category | Sponsored by Grant Burge
The Grant Burge Arts category aims to celebrate the spirit of creativity exhibited by South Australian artists. The Arts Award is for arts related projects or events, individual artists or groups of artists or arts projects. 

 

Community Category | Sponsored by Alzheimer's Australia SA
The Alzheimer’s SA Community category aims to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of individuals, not for profit organisations, volunteer groups and/or community groups who work tirelessly on community based projects and events and who have made outstanding contributions to their local community, who are an inspirational role model for the community, going above and beyond the call of duty.

The South Australian Tourism Commission Tourism category celebrates tourism operators, businesses, groups, events or projects involved in profiling and promoting South Australia with the overall goal of enhancing tourism and visitors to the State.

Science Category
There are no public nominations for the South Australian of the Year Science Award. Winners will be decided through a partnership with the Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology.
